At CFCT, we come forward with a mission to care for and provide shelter to these poor and orphaned children, who have lacked food, love and affection throughout their growing years, with no hope of a good future.

Charis Foundation Charitable Trust (CFCT), founded in 2004, is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that serves homeless children affected by poverty, violence or are waifs, in the bustling city of Chennai. These are distressed children who come from difficult circumstances that detach them from the joys of childhood. At CFCT, we come forward with a mission to care for and provide shelter to these poor and orphaned children, who have lacked food, love and affection throughout their growing years, with no hope of a good future. It was the living conditions of these abandoned children that inspired Charis Foundation to start a home for them.
