Avvai Home & Orphanage was established in 1931 by late Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy to shelter, protect and educate the orphan girls, deserted women-irrespective of caste, creed or social status. Her sole objective was to provide empowerment and economic independence to poor girls and women and ultimately to be trained to lead a normal life with dignity and self respect.
